To recognize a graduate degree, according to Resolution CNE/CES No. 03/2016, it is necessary to present the following documents:
I – Register containing personal data and, when applicable, information about institutional affiliation held in Brazil;
II – Copy of the diploma duly registered by the institution responsible for the diploma, in accordance with the legislation in force in the country of origin and;
III – Copy of the thesis or dissertation with record of approval by the examining board, with copy in digital file in compatible format, accompanied by the following documents:
- Minutes or official document from the home institution, containing the date of the defense, if applicable, the title of the work, its approval and concepts awarded; and
- Names of the examining board participants, if applicable, and the supervisor, accompanied by the respective summarized curricula;
- If the home program does not provide for the public defense of the thesis, the student must attach a document issued and authenticated by the home institution, describing the procedures for evaluating the quality of the thesis or dissertation adopted by the institution (including blind assessment issued by an external referee).
IV – Copy of school transcript, describing the subjects or activities attended, with the respective periods and total workload, indicating the frequency and result of the evaluations in each subject;
V - Summary description of the research activities carried out, internships and printed or electronic copy of the scientific works resulting from the dissertation or thesis, published and/or presented at congresses or academic-scientific meetings, indicating the author(s), the name of the journal and the date of publication and/or name and place of the scientific events where the works were presented;
VI - Results of the external evaluation of the institution's postgraduate course or program, when available and carried out by public or duly accredited institutions in the country of origin, and other existing information about the program's reputation indicated in documents, reports or reports .
The documents referred to in items II, III to, IV must be registered by a foreign institution responsible for the diploma, in accordance with the legislation in force in the country of origin, with an apostillation in case their origin is from a signatory country of the Hague Convention ( CNJ Resolution No. 228, of June 22, 2016) or authenticated by the competent consular authority, in the case of non-signatory countries. In the case of Unilogos University, the same, as a signatory institution in view of the United States being a member country.
The educational institution receiving the request for revalidation or recognition of foreign diplomas may, when it deems it necessary, request the applicant to translate the aforementioned documentation, except for the cases of lingua francas used in the environment of academic training and production of knowledge university students: English, French and Spanish.
To recognize the diploma, the interested party must choose an educational institution that has the desired course and present the required documentation so that the diploma, upon approval of the application, is declared equivalent to those granted in Brazil.
